A decades old Schenck make soft bearing balancing machine modernized and computerized with Precibalance balancing instrumentation. The retro-fitment can be done in a few hours with minor mechanical rework. The soft bearing machine was retained as a soft bearing machine by utilizing the accelerometer sensors. Encoders were added to provide remote angle function. The balancing software enables storage of calibration parameters eliminating the need for re-calibration for identical jobs common in old soft bearing machines.
